Here's the deal.... If you like Juicy Lucy's, there are many in the Twin Cities to choose from. The 5-8 Club has more options than most of the "Juicy" restaurants around town. The vibe at this location is great with pull tabs and a bar side as well as a family restaurant side. Our server, Linda, was INSANELY good and was so kind and attentive to our family. She deserves a RAISE! long story short, great food, great staff. Wonderful experience.

Love this place! Such a fun old restaurant and bar. I used to go here as a kid with my grandma and it's still the same great place. I kind of miss the smell of cigarette smoke when smoking was allowed inside.

Had my first (and only) Juicy Lucy burger today... awesome! Ordered the Saucy Sally and it did not disappoint. Juicy goodness everywhere! The burger Patty was cooked perfect and had the crispy, burnt bits from the fryer and tasted fantastic! The fries were good, as was the small Cole slaw. Service was prompt, courteous and "right on time". A word of warning though...it is now March and the roads in and out of the restaurant are horrendous! I'm now sitting at the Meineke shop getting my flat tire fixed. This is probably understandable given the super harsh Minnesota winters, but I thought any unsuspecting traveler (like me) should know. The pub itself is awesome and can't wait until we visit again!

Been coming here since I was a kid. Can get busy at times (for good reason). Broasted chicken chicken is my go to. Cooked perfectly every time. If you like burgers, you're bound to find a Juicy Lucy on the list you'll love. The quesadilla was on point. No skimping on the beef! Don't forget the cheese curds, state fair worthy... you won't be disappointed.

The 5-8 tavern was a fantastic experience . I went on Saturday morning for breakfast, and it was fairly quiet. The breakfast menu is extensive enough to cover most breakfast foods. Both meals ordered to the table were The Eye Opener. This came with hashbrowns , eggs, toast, and bacon or sausage. The prices are fair and the food is plentiful. The waitress helping us was extremely helpful and kind. She checked in often and asked how our food was tasting.

I got the saucy Juicy Lucy & it was fabulous on the pretzel bun. I also got French fries & the egg rolls just because they sounded weird & they were delicious. I really like the creativity on the menu & the different unique options. Most restaurants are so safely cookie cutter & while this place has basics they also have fun things for hard-core foodies to try.

All I can say is "YUMMM!!" My Mushroom & Swiss burger was so good. My brother and my son both had the Pepperjack Juicy Lucy and they said is was delicious 😋 My mother had the broasted chicken dinner and she said it was good. The decor was from the 50s and 60s. Plenty of seating. The customer service was awesome. An interesting fact is Adam Richman from Man vs Food has eaten there, there is a picture of him by the entrance. I would encourage dining here, you won't be disappointed.

Fabulous service by our waitress Linda! She was very attentive and helpful. The food was tasty. And we really enjoyed sitting on the outside patio, surrounded by gorgeous plants. The onion straws were delicious, and the serving was huge. I’d highly recommend the garlic cheese burger.

Linda was our waitress. She made the whole experience a delicious event at the 5-8 Tavern. I had a Juicey Lucy with an egg on top. My friends had other delectable and tastey delights. We shared a batch of mini doughnuts. Bring the kids...

I was super excited when Qatar and Mylles wanted to go to 5-8 Tavern and grill on minnehaha. It was Saturday February 14th 2026 and they agreed to go to the place that I suggested. Linda was our waitress. Linda was a fantastic server, super professional, very knowledgeable about all the menu items and specials for the evening. I would go there just to be waited on by linda. Qatar order the regular cheeseburger with bacon and barbecue sauce and a baked potato on the side. He said his meal was delicious. Mylles ordered the Sonnyside juicy Lucy with a side of fresh coleslaw. He ate every bite and said his meal was fantastic. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger juicy Lucy with french fries. I love it sit for about 7 minutes to cool down before I bit into it and cheese just oozed out of the burger. You have to let the juicy Lucy sit for a few minutes before you bite into it because the cheese may be too hot and you will burn your lips. For an appetizer we had the onion straws. I ordered them with ranch dressing and a side of 5/8 sauce.. proportion was huge, three of us could not finish it. Linda up sold us to the mini donuts for dessert. These mini donuts are better than the state fair donuts. Freshly made served hot with a little bit of cinnamon and sugar. Thanks Linda. Did I forget to mention $5 white claws. The bar was packed with pull-tab players. Overall I had a great experience and I would recommend this bar to anyone who wants great service and great food. I'll be back. 🍔🍟❤️
